Life Story for Sara Dalgleish

Sara Dalgleish
Sara K. Dalgleish, age 36, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born November 9, 1979, she was the daughter of Jack and Kathy (Kalb) Dalgleish.

Sara graduated from Shawe Memorial High School in 1998 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University in 2003, a Master's Degree in sports management in 2005 and a Master's Degree in counseling in 2010. She completed internships at the University of Wisconsin and at Austin Peay University. She worked at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as the Assistant Registrar before moving back to Madison in 2013. She was formerly employed by Amazon Distribution Company, and since March of 2016, she worked at the Clifty Falls State Park.

She enjoyed watching tennis matches, hiking through Clifty Falls State Park, reading historical non-fiction books, watching IU basketball, and watching the Big Brother and Walking Dead TV shows. She was an avid fan of professional football, especially the Denver Broncos because of Peyton Manning, and the Indianapolis Colts.

She will be sadly missed by her parents, of Madison; her brother Brian Dalgleish and his wife, Lisa, of Madison; her beloved cat, Bella; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Christopher Craig at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:15 AM. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church or the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contributions can be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
