Obituary for Andrew Koczergo
Mr. Andrew Koczergo, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born on May 16, 1952 in Madison, the son of Albin and Zuzanna (Urbanik) Koczergo.
Mr. Koczergo was a self-employed painter and formerly worked as a Madison Courier newspaper carrier when he was young. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and worked and volunteered at the Salvation Army in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He loved Polish Sausage, cooking, fishing, music, motorcycle riding and reading, especially history. He had an infectious smile, and everyone loved him.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Simon of Weston, Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Veronika and Lloyd Feltner of Saint Augustine, Florida, and Rose and Michael King of West Lafayette, Indiana; one brother, Edward Koczergo of Saint Augustine; three grandchildren: Madyson, Bodie and Bella; two nieces: Sonja and Kristie Joy; and one nephew, Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joshua Koczergo on June 13, 2014; one sister, Teresa Koczergo in 1980; one brother, Stanislaw Koczergo in 1948; one nephew, Christopher Michael Hammock in 1978 and one uncle, Adam Urbanik in 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 16, 2104 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Salvation Army. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
